There are tons of guitar straps to choose from. However, after years and years of gigging in the real world, we have surmised from experience that even at the lower end of the pricing scale, you definitely get what you pay for. When you bear in mind that you're using a guitar strap to hang an expensive instrument on, the quality of manufacture becomes even more important.A heavy nylon makes for a stronger strap. Real leather ends last way longer than imitation leather. Ideally you should look for a couple of lines of stitching where the leather end is stitched to the nylon webbing part of the strap.

We chose to stock these straps because they tick all the boxes. Are there cheaper straps out there? Yes. Are there more expensive straps out there? Yes - but usually they're more expensive because they have a well known brand name printed on them. These guitar straps by Gaucho are the best of both worlds - you get a very well made strap, suitable for all guitars (all makes and models of electric guitars and electric bass guitars, plus all acoustic, semi-acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars) but you're not paying for a famous brand name. You even get a string to tie the strap around the guitar headstock, if your acoustic guitar only has one strap button!

While playing stood up can be more challenging than playing sitting down to start with (as the angles/positions which your arms, wrists and head naturally fall into are quite different between sitting and standing) using a guitar strap is to be encouraged as early as possible.

This all metal, hardwearing capo has something else which most capo's don't have - a 'tension adjustment dial'. Electric guitars require less tension from a capo that Acoustic guitars do. Likewise, 6 string guitars require less tension than 12 string guitars. So I guess the question is: Why would you buy a capo that doesn't adjust to suit any guitar that you put it on?

This little beauty will work on almost all electric or acoustic guitars, 6 string or 12 string, on flat or convex fingerboards. We've never found a capo with more tension available (which is required in particular if the action (the height of the strings above the fingerboard) is high, for 12 string guitars, or if you use heavy gauge strings) and if you require less tension, a quick twist of the tension dial will reduce the tension applied - making it suitable to use on almost any guitar!

It also has angled rubber padding which stops any damage to the neck edge or fingerboard when fitting/removing it, and uses the trigger design - the fastest and easiest type of capo to apply and remove, which is especially handy when playing live. I've been using one of these for over 6 years, and it costs less than half the price of a branded, non-adjustable equivalent!
